I wanted to share with you a series of short Mindset Coaching Videos that I have produced. Personal Growth is a passion of mine. I have learned so much over the years... so many ideas & concepts that have changed my way of thinking, my way of looking at the world, my way of being. I decided to put these ideas into short videos. Mostly for agents, but I think they may be helpful to anyone, especially now. They are not an end but a beginning. Aha moments of sorts that I hope will make you say "I never thought of it like that" and perhaps empower.

Becoming The Hero of Your Own Life with the INCREDIBLE Wayne Dyer said it best... "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." Perspective is everything. No one is coming to rescue you... and that's the good news, because you won't know how powerful you are until you realize you are the Hero of Your Own Life.

Have you ever thought to yourself about your life...I could write a book!? I certainly have. What I am suggesting in today's video is not just writing the story about what HAS happened, but rather writing about what is GOING to happen from today until... well you know, the end.

Being Right (making excuses that you actually believe). Being Comfortable (choosing feelings over your commitments). Looking Good (Doing things for others instead of honoring yourself).

Be very careful what you say you believe! We naturally want to BE RIGHT about the things we believe in. So when you say you can't do or be something because... you're too old, you're not smart enough, he won't let you, you need more money, STOP RIGHT THERE! These are your limiting beliefs and THEY ARE NOT TRUE! Except to the extent you believe in them. Change what you believe and you will change your life!

Have you ever said "I'll believe it when I see it?" Well guess what!? That's NOT how it works! You are much more powerful than you may believe. You are the CAUSE of the world you see, not the effect. When you get better on the inside, life gets better on the outside. Be very conscious of what you say you believe... because YOU ARE THE CREATOR and You'll SEE it when you BELIEVE it!

Is it life or death? No! It's living or NOT living! Are you waiting for things to be just right before you live the life of your dreams!? Or do you think you need a permission slip from someone to live life your way? Watch here to learn more about taking action on your Vision and feeling alive!

How you see yourself and your life is so important, much more important than how other people see you. When you share a story about YOUR LIFE, perspective makes all the difference. If you want to feel truly empowered, re-tell your story remembering all you've learned from the experience and who you've become BECAUSE of it! This is TRUE POWER! Because life is not happening TO you... It's happening FOR you

Fight. Flight. Freeze. These are the 3 ways we typically react to our fears... Which means they are running the show. But what if next time you were afraid, you paused, took a breath and asked yourself this question: "What would I do if I wasn't afraid?". This is not easy to do, especially in the heat of the moment. But I promise you it is worth it, even if you don't do it so well to start. You will feel SO MUCH better about yourself and will be much less likely to do and say things you will later regret. Stay in the driver's seat and don't let your fears RUN YOU!

Whose business are you in? Understanding whose business you are mentally in is the beginning of a life of freedom. When I am mentally worried about God's business and am anxious about things like earthquakes and sinkholes or when I am in someone else's business and think I know what is best for them, even in the name of love or caring, I am not in my own business. Staying in your own business will fill you with a sense of empowerment that you cannot even imagine! So the next time you feel anxious, stressed out or fearful, ask yourself whose business you are in? You might be surprised at how much time you spend mentally in business that is not even yours!

Here is something that can change your life! Pay attention to what you make things mean or when you are jumping to conclusions! We can create a real mess when we think we know what is going on with someone else. If you've ever read the Four Agreements, which I highly recommend, one of the agreements is Make No Assumptions! This means we must have the courage to ask questions rather than make assumptions or jump to conclusions! I can't wait for you to try this and see how your life will be transformed.

Do you feel let down by other people? Well guess what? You are setting yourself up for disappointment whenever you EXPECT something without coming to an AGREEMENT first. Making assumptions and expecting things from other people is a recipe for suffering. This need not be! If you are expecting a call from someone, check in and be sure they are agreeing to call at a certain time...or at all, lol! Once you become aware of how you are setting yourself up with un-agreed upon expectations - you will be much less likely to continue. By the same token, when others expect something from you that they did not verbalize, you can help them understand how the lack of communication is creating the problem and that the solution is communication & AGREEMENT. This is one of the best things I've ever learned. Do you ever wonder why at times people are critical or angry or fearful for what seems like no reason? Sometimes we think we've done something wrong, but guess what? Nothing that others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality. You can't even imagine the freedom you will feel when you realize this and put it into practice. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others you will stop being the victim of needless suffering.

There are times in life when there are winners and losers, like in a football game or some other competition (and not really because everyone gets paid and even in the super bowl, everyone gets a ring!) but when negotiating in Real Estate you might want to think differently. I wholeheartedly believe that all of life, if viewed with the right perspective, is Win/Win. It's easy to forget this. But when you have the intention of finding the spot where everyone's a winner, your negotiations will take on a completely different tone. Sellers want to sell, buyers want to buy. Being a force for finding the Win/Win is something you'll feel incredibly good about and your clients will appreciate the energy of cooperation And then you just might realize that win/win is not just about real estate.

Have you ever felt like everything on your to-do list is an emergency? Yeah... me too! Especially these days with the Real Estate market as crazy as ever! I'll never forget when Keith, who I work with, helped me with this. What I realized was that I had many things that were important to me, to my life, to my future, to my happiness and very few things that were actually urgent. I was running on adrenaline when I need not. Taking time for the important things in my life required a calm mind, body & spirit. That feeling of urgency is the complete opposite of what I need to focus on what REALLY MATTERS. You too can take control of YOUR LIFE by making this important distinction.

Oh boy! This one is a good one! And one I actually needed to hear today! It's all about focus. What in YOUR LIFE are you focusing on? Sometimes it's hard to focus on the good when something not so good is happening. Now, I am not suggesting that you ignore life's problems. What I'm suggesting is not wallowing in them! There are things we cannot do... like to change other people or change the past. And when I focus on what I can't do, I end up feeling helpless, hopeless or angry. But when I say So What, Now What? I feel energy and inspiration to turn my attention to things I can do and change like myself and my present! Don't dwell on the problem... Live in the solution and come to know your power!

This is a great tool for when you are feeling pressured to have an answer...NOW!? When you add the three R's to YOUR LIFE you'll feel a lot more in control. You'll find all kinds of times when this process will come in very handy! Kids, business, bullies... Watch to learn about this powerful little secret!

So you probably think that if you "HAVE" a certain thing you can "BE" Happy. Well guess what? It doesn't exactly work that way.The truth is that your way of being is a decision, not a result of what you have. You may need to take baby steps with this one but try it out. When we decide to be happy....we end up doing what needs to be done to have whatever we want. But you may not even care because, well... You're Happy! Powerful Stuff!
